Charlotte, which is about 41% of the board's weighted votes cast by Ed Driggs, and then Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, Mint Hill, Monroe, Pineville, and NCDOT, all of those have votes, and voted yes.

Now, A lot of it, too, again, talked about this new community benefits pledge from the NCDOT of $300 million.

I live in Davidson, North Carolina, and I'm like, "It's the Davidson loop." We just, we're just doing it.

We're doing what we need to get done.

But I've been in the Charlotte area since I graduated from college, went to UNC Chapel Hill, graduated in 1990, and I've been in the Charlotte area ever since.

And so, and actually moved to Davidson recently.

So my wife and I got married.

She grew up in Charlotte.

She's a rare native Charlottean.

And we moved to Davidson just looking for a different pace.

We had our Juneteenth event really brought me in and understood our mission and the community we serve on two elements.

We serve one element from a side of fundraising and meeting folks in the community, but also the historic West Davidson, the folks in our community that we truly try to help.

And so all that culmination brought me to the board and helped me again, elevate the part of learning and being a part of this, this great organization.

For those that don't know, Liberty Prep Christian Academy, where is it located at?

It is located in Mooresville, 229 Midway Lake Road, just north of Davidson.

So you moved here about five years ago to the Lake Norman area.

And when did you discover downtown Davidson?

Well, we moved here.

We have a lovely home in a neighborhood on the lake.

Then he decided he was not going to quit flying and went back to work.

And at that point, I really missed being around a lot of people and art.

So my neighbor, who's a premier Sotheby's realtor in Charlotte, but lives here in Troutman, suggested I go to Davidson.

I was looking for a studio space just to be able to get out, get away from my home studio to a bigger studio and just branch out.
