Now that you're in the college game, or starting into the college game.

Yeah, look, for Kelly, she actually was almost 20 years into her career as a social worker in liver transplant and with cancer patients at Mount Sinai Hospital.

She was at that time only working part time, but she made a decision to pause her career.

I think partly she was ready for a change.

And so this gave her a catalyst.

And that was a big shift for her.

um and then you know we we come and she she's the the rock of the family she i get you know sort of the the i do the podcast and i talk about like being fearless and putting it out there she's truly the fearless one and makes us keep our commitments like two days after we arrived she had us packing our bags doing our first trip and every every time we i was like i don't know what about this what about that She goes, we came here because we wanted to travel.

What do you tell that executive that's stepped off into the yeah, but, right? Which is that fear, right?

There could have been a lot of things that showed up with that, but it wasn't.

So we were already like, because of COVID, schools allowed you to delay the decision if you were gonna stay or not, because you had to know by a certain timeframe.

And it was really not, the two things, we were, first decision was, are we gonna stay another year? That wasn't a hard decision because one, honestly, we weren't done.

Like it was just, we got interrupted seven months into our trip and we loved it there.

Like I probably could have stayed longer to some degree.

What we had then decided is like, okay, we'll stay another year, but our kids have sleepaway camp.

We'll go back for camp this summer, see everybody, and then come back.

And how do you use that to navigate hard decisions, those hard things that we gotta make a decision on?

So, so I actually started a podcast my second year of law school.

It was in 2006.

It was one of the first...

It was actually called True NYC.

I was interviewing entrepreneurs with one goal in mind: to figure out how to start my own business.

So I decided I hadn't given up on it.

What, w- what caused you to breathe life after four years into that idea?

You've talked about that in past episodes, but I really want to hear about what that's like coming back to the US after living in another country.

So thank you for having me back.

But for year one, when we decided to stay for another year, it was a pretty easy decision because back in Brooklyn, all schools were still remote, and they were going to be remote the next year, and we didn't want to go back to that.

So it was, our job wasn't finished.

We, we had the COVID pandemic, so we just continued to stay.

So that was an easy decision.

The next year, it was a harder decision.

Do you ever think about living abroad again, or do you feel like you kinda checked that off your list?
