David Ross

That one is one of my favorite episodes of Jonathan Creek.

Our next actor is David Ross, who played the bookie in today's episode.

David was born in Blackburn in Lancashire in 1945 and has enjoyed a long career across British television, film and theatre.

One of his most interesting claims to fame is his connection to the classic sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf.

David actually stayed in Red Dwarf though as he also provided the voice of the famously annoying Torquay Toaster whose sole ambition was to make everyone a slice of toast.

He later became familiar to comedy fans as Elgin Sparrowhawk in The Green Green Grass which was the spin-off from Only Fools and Horses featuring Boise and Marlene.

David Ross has also appeared in Doc Martin, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Casualty and he's also popped up in the last ever episode of Last of the Summer Wine.

Next up is Robert Perkins who played DS Bruce in today's episode.
