But according to the New York Times report, the Pillin Family Farms Company use of undocumented labor has been an open secret in the farming community.

With at least 20 of the farms hiring undocumented immigrants, David Ramirez, a former employee from Mexico without legal status, told the New York Times that Pillin Family Farms accepted his fake ID knowingly and said, everybody knows that's not your name, but they don't ask you what your name is.

They just want you to work.
