In June 2022, five months after the death of John O'Keefe, forty-one-year-old Karen Read was indicted for second-degree murder.

She pleaded not guilty, then started searching for attorneys to add to her legal team.

After months of research, she finally found someone who could help her, Alan Jackson.

I'm recording this on September the 4th, Friday before the long weekend.

The defense attorney for Lindsay Clancy told the reporters outside the courthouse that the four person's note actually identified which juror it was, yeah? And said, not following the law.

And said that that juror could be inquired by the courts, really weird wordy way of saying we should be asking questions of that juror.

Since we have a lot of time and we're on verdict watch, a lot of the media behind me, everyone's talking back and forth.

One of the things, Stephanie, that people are wondering, again, everyone has their own style, but we saw it, for instance, in the Reid trial, you had Alan Jackson, David Yannetti, Bob Alessi, even Elizabeth Little, you know, a full group, and they would take turns questioning different witnesses.

The prosecution, we have two prosecutors.

There's a lot of speculating now.

No, it's just him.

And as I think back, and again, I'll use the retrial example, there were days that Alan Jackson didn't even address the jury.

There were days that, two days would go by, David Yannetti would not say a word.

There were other attorneys there.

I think Alan Jackson spoke briefly.

I think David Yannetti spoke.

I don't fully remember.

But I do remember Hank Brennan did not, who was the special prosecutor, he did not address the media.

Eliza Little was his secretary.

And David Yannetti was letting this happen because he's a young buck who wants to have his place in the sun.

And she's not having any of it.

And then she's got Alessi coming in.

And I have never seen...

A person who is a defense attorney their entire lives never once was a prosecutor.

She said it to David Yannetti.

She said it to Alan Jackson and Adam Lally and Hank Brennan.
