The impatience of Pearson Sharp notwithstanding, David, do you think that that is a penetrable critique with the right messaging, not just at this convention, but really the springboard into this big push where everybody's making those big ad buys?

Two really interesting things, one that I heard you say and one that I heard Pearson say is, one, you mentioned this settles the question amongst the consultant class of what do we do about the Trump problem.

Right.

This does force the issue.

And Trump very interestingly posted it.

It jogged my memory.

He said, everybody wants to speak at this convention, but I'm only limiting the speaker spots to the people whose races are close where they need the platform the most, a.k.a. my endorsement.

you approach this week and these two moments?

Just explain it.

Well, what happened was a woman said she was under postpartum psychosis.

She had the three children like you mentioned.

Well, I think when you look at Lagway, we've heard a bunch of really good things, right? Like we've heard he's had a great camp.

We can talk about a little bit of the mobility, but it's been the fit.

It's been the durability.

Have you been reflecting on her life and what she meant as an icon? You know, my kids were sad

about it.

And, you know, they're young.

I mean, you're talking about 15 and 11.

But they danced to her music.

My youngest daughter did a book report on Dolly Parton.

It's amazing how somebody who's been in the industry for so long It touched so many different generations.

Like I tell you, there's not stuff in DARPA that does that based on my review as a congressman.

And nobody's gonna say that during the season, and you're not gonna cop to that.

But he's tough as nails, he's strong, he's big.

They can build this thing around shrinking possessions.

They can build this thing with 12 personnel, which is more tight ends on the field, more running the football.

They bring in Harris from, from Virginia, one of the better receivers, to go with Satania.

Like- I, I think they have more weapons, and if that offense takes a step forward, which it's going to, it's gonna take a significant step forward, and the defense is playing like they are, you're not gonna want that smoke because they're gonna make you execute.

That's what I try to do to try to get away from the

I say not me, but he, like anytime somebody gives me a compliment, but like, I'm very cognizant of it.

Just like with football, because you know, when you're successful or when you're on TV, like I've done, I get a lot of like people that want to take pictures and Hey, Hey.

I would start with Georgia at the top.

I have six playoff teams that I'm okay with writing them in pen.

And Georgia's the only one from the SEC.

So those other teams are Notre Dame, Miami, Texas Tech – Oregon, Indiana, and UGA.

Like literally who separates or who has the best chance to separate in your mind right now?

Like, how do you assess what Oklahoma does up front on that side?

Well, it's, it's one of the best one-two punches when you're starting to talk about, like, inside-outside with Wine and Stone.

Um, but, but I think the, the word that constantly comes up is literally it's chaos.

You know, it's suffocating.

It's, it's constant energy.

It's constant effort.

It's constant aggressiveness.

Where do you have OU in the SEC?

Mm-hmm

... from having recess appointments when we control both the House and the Senate.

If this Senate wanted to, this Senate could've said, "Hey, House, let us go on break, and we're gonna give President Trump all of his nominations." And you know what that means? We coulda used that as leverage to pass the Save America Act 'cause we'd have said, "Hey, Democrats, if you don't work with us on Save America, we're gonna recess the House and the Senate, and every single one of Trump's picks goes through unless you work with us." But you know what John Thune did? He let all the leverage go.

He's coming in pro forma to screw President Trump, and if you had any doubt that John Thune is doing everything in his power to stop President Trump, this is all the proof you need.

Are you mad yet?

That'll be more work.

I think I figured it out, another prediction being made right now on the podcast.

How did he progress in your eyes, and what's the next step for him?

First of all, you're so right, but the, but the expectations were through the daggum roof.

Like, there's nothing Arch Manning could've done a year ago that would've met expectations.

If, if he broke every record in NCAA history, he still would've fallen short of being the, the guy everybody put on him.

But something happened with Arch.

You know, when he got a little bit into the season, that give-a-dang busted, and then you started to see him go play free.

And so, so what I saw from him early in the season, Sam, like, he did a good job of...

Like, it's gonna be okay, but, uh, y- you're pretty high on the Canes this year, right?

Why?

I mean, it's pretty clear.

Uh, Trinidad Chambliss ran out of time last year.

It wasn't that he lost.

Like, literally, if he had the ball a little bit longer, I think he beats Miami.

And you just saw the run he went on.

And again, he wasn't even supposed to be the guy.

In your quiet moments, are you thinking about the next job?

No, not yet.

Like I wanted to give myself the best possible chance to rehab and play, but I knew deep down that it wasn't going to happen because when you break your neck, like I did, so they fused a bunch.

So they cut you open here, they move your vocal cords and then they fuse together.

And then they put a piece of bone in there and the different vertebraes.

And so now my range of motion isn't as good.

Well, now if your range of motion isn't as good and it goes to that point and it breaks.

I mean, what's it like parenting through you not being the one hurt, but your wife being the one and you're parenting your kids through watching that their mom.

I'm guessing you're going to say there comes a moment, but let us have

This is so complicated, but out of respect for the other people who are going to want to talk on this podcast, I'll break it down as simply as I can.

I think people are very confused on why America loves Donald Trump.

And that's really at the heart of all of this, because the reason why we love Donald Trump, at least personally, and a lot of people that I know love Donald Trump, is because he came down an escalator and said the different things that our political establishment said.

He didn't sound like a polished politician.

He stood on the debate stage and he pointed fingers at the Bushes and he pointed fingers, you know, at the Chris Christie's of the world and said, We're not doing this again.

What we saw today in front of the Senate.

was a guy who can't go to jail for the things he said and still can't find the honor to tell the truth.

And that says a lot about the guy who's behind the science, right? I mean, here's a guy who made up the six feet rule.

Made it up.

What did Anthony Fauci make you do, David? Something you personally did because of Fauci's nonsense that you felt vindicated for today and that you can be free of in this therapy session we call the Anchorman

Between the women singing, "Get out, ICE," some, some of me, some of me thinks that maybe we should just let all the illegal aliens go to Chicago, and then they can all just hang out together, and then we'll just rid them of the rest of the country.

I mean, sorry Chicagoans, it's your fault 'cause you elected that guy as may- as mayor, but I think maybe that's what we need to do.

What are you watching on the Hill, David?

Yeah, I'm not shocked.

The only thing that surprised me today, not that it went down in the Senate or it's going to go down in the Senate, what surprised me today was John Thune blaming Democrats.

because his tune this entire time has been like, well, there isn't the votes.

There isn't the votes.

We don't have the votes.

And almost was like, we're not going to take it up.

And, um, here, this was, you know, the Bernie guy in Maine, and didn't matter that he was a, a, a reformed Nazi or a, you know, sexual predator allegedly.

And then I think what the party saw as an opportunity to kinda take one back, because just as much as we have this fight between Trump and the establishment, the Democrats certainly have a fight between the Democratic socialists and the Democrat establishment.

And I, I think they took an opportunity to win one back there in Maine.

Yeah.

No, I, I, I did see this, and what's...

A- again, this is, goes to what I warn people about, and, um, it's not a tinfoil hat anymore.

This is really happening in our cities.

It's the Democratic Socialist takeover of America.

And this idea of abortion and this idea of, of, of devaluing life, it's really part of a much bigger, more sinister plan.

... a Nazi or a rapist.

Who are we going to be hearing from on David Pollack primetime? And are you preparing them for Trump to kind of pull a rabbit out of a hat and get us back into a really positive, productive posture toward peace, which he has done before, which I believe he wants to do again?
