The challenge I saw at CES, a lot of wonderful standalone ideas of technologists saying, "We've got a great solution," but did it really start with the problem and really have user input? We have to always know that the person is at the center.

It's not the technology.

It's an issue I think that we've dealt with ever since we've looked at technology as a benefit for older adults and for healthcare in general.

How do we improve the user interface and make sure that people can use these devices in easy a fashion as possible? We need metrics to understand what is really a good solution versus something that's a n- new bright and shiny object, but may not really work with what we really need.

Still, Lindeman sees the age tech industry making rapid progress.

I think it's, this is one of the most both exciting times, but unpredictable times because of, uh, how fast AI is moving.

Uh, it's not just year to year anymore, but it's actually, uh, quarter to quarter, even month to month as each of the competing AI systems improves what they can do.
