David Kaye

I was really worried about Hemsworth in Transformers 1, and I was actually pleasantly surprised with his performance.

So I mean, you get situations like that too.

I'm not saying, like, every version should sound like Peter Cullen or like David Kaye, but something in that residual ballpark.

Like, doesn't have to sound exactly the same, but something that at least has the gravitas that the original voice had would be nice.

Before it was like you're kind of fit in your box.

So I think it was kind of just the radio stations that I listened to in town, which I think now actually I know Zed 95.3 FM was one of the radio stations in Vancouver, which David Kaye was a DJ for.

We know David Kaye.

He's been on the show.

Shout-outs to David.

got this crazy setup where he sounds freaking magical with every syllable he says.

He's a legend.

So when I mention people I've looked up to and whatever, David Kaye is one of the best examples.

You have to be so adaptable.

You know, I mean, I loved when we were at VotCon 97, hanging out with, you know, the likes of, I think it was like Scott McNeill and Gary Chalk and David Kaye.

And the way they could just go snap into one voice, snap into another voice.

Yeah.

And it's so cool.

David Kaye, who is Draconis, just being boyed over Bumpus.

He got pictures with him and stuff.

And that's why I was like, hey, can I get a picture with both of y'all now?

Yeah.

I will say, out of all the voice actors, David Kaye goes so fucking hard in this movie.

Yeah.

He's able to put so many different types of emotion and stuff, despite the fact that he's practically monotone, no matter what he's saying.

I'm not going to lie.

I've been playing a lot of Ratchet and Clank recently, and when you realize Clank is voiced by David Kaye, there are so many points where I'm like, this is just Clank if he was like, wasn't a robot

and it's kind of crazy

well he's kind of a robot in this

I won't even say interview, to chat to the likes of Gary Chalk...

Richard Newman and David Kaye uh was amazing and we can't thank them enough and in fact I I love Gary love David but uh my favorite chap by far was Richard Newman he is an absolute gentleman he we keep saying he's like the your favorite uncle he it feels like it it feels like if I had his phone number I could just pick it up and we could have a chat for two hours he's just a lovely guy

He is amazing.

But also as well, I completely echo what you said.
