And, and the more I looked at him, I'm like, I look at my drawings.

that uh project and then even like did you kind of anything you've learned or from the short course being next door kind of

Take us through your background in baseball and also talk to us about your show.

Yeah, so my background in baseball stretches back to a very young age.

I'm sure Hubert and everybody else wanted to be a professional baseball player.

That was my dream as a youngster, but I come from a very unathletic family, so that dream fell away quickly.

I played baseball until I was a junior in high school, and then they said, you know what, I can't really do this anymore.

But I remember when I was 12 years old, I grew up watching the Boston Red Sox and listening to Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy play.

uh because my family's all from massachusetts and i remember when i was 12 years old watching a game and looking at my dad and going hey is that a job like listening to the play-by-play and he goes yeah he was actually i did that in college i was like oh i can do that in college he's like yeah you can do that for a career that was it that was from then on that was it i was going to be a play-by-play guy nobody could tell me otherwise and i just set my sights on that i studied the game i was a stat nerd And I realized that you can get paid to talk about sports.

How good of a story would that be if Troy knocks out your Mountaineers?

Mm-hmm.

Um, when we were, uh, initially pitching plans for that course, we had rerouted that entire thing on paper and carved out an area on the, on the hillside for a nine-hole par 3 course.

So that was kinda like the first pitch to Bob that his property could have a par 3 course experience.

And, and he loved it.

Uh, didn't necessarily like it in the area that we told him about, but, you know, throughout that, that process, um, he acquired a lot more land and which, which eventually became the space for the other course and the Bad Little Nine.

So, um, you know, when, when it got time to really designing and, and explaining to Bob what that experience was gonna be, he asked us, he asked us a question that nobody else had asked us before, and it was, "I know you guys are gonna build a great par 3 course, but what am I gonna brag about?" And, you know, w- what is, what is gonna be special about it, essentially.

And, and while we typically kinda we th- we th- we think that we, you know, work through that mentally in our own process, we, we've never really been forced to think about it and explain that to somebody.
