In fact, we can say that the history of Banu Israel in terms of territory, power, have reached its apex, its highest point with Sulaiman alayhi salam.

With both Dawud, but particularly with Sulaiman alayhi salam.

So we'll see, by the will of Allah, what Allah has to say about Sulaiman in the Qur'an, what's available about him in the Sunnah, and understand his virtue, what he went through, and relevant, insha'Allah, lessons from his life.

Allah Azza wa Jal says, وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودًا وَسُلَيْمَانًا عِلْمًا Indeed, we have given or bestowed on Dawud and Sulaiman, David and Solomon, علمًا.

Knowledge, and here ilmah means a lot of knowledge, meaning Allah had given them immense amount of knowledge.

And of course, because they are prophets of Allah, so they knew Allah the best.

So what is it that he inherited from Dawood ? He inherited knowledge.

He inherited prophethood.

So inshallah tonight we will do Zakariya and Yahya and also possibly the story of Maryam and inshallah next week we will start the story of Isa alayhim as-salam.

The last that we've left, Banu Israel, they were with Dawud and Sulaiman.

And Dawud and Sulaiman, they were kings, prophets and kings.

And the kingdom of Banu Israel, the population, have reached the maximum in its strength.

We've seen how strong Sulaiman was.

He says, first of all, that may mean that this is true for some of the prophets of Allah Azzawajal.

So Allah is not talking about every single prophet, but some of the prophets of Allah, like those who had power, like Dawud and Sulaiman, like Nuh.

What happened to the people of Nuh? Their people were destroyed, right? So that's victory from Allah عز و جل.

The people of Salih, the people of Hud.

This is the season of takbirat, of the takbirat, so that they remember the name of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in these days.

Now, what's the connection here? What is the connection between that story and this adhkar? Why is it that takbirat are so emphasized in these particular days? I want to put to you that these phrases are phrases of fundamental truths, of fundamental truths that Ibrahim Alaihissalam came with, that Adam came with, that Nuh came with, that Saleh came with, that Shu'ayb came with, that Hud came with, that Musa came with, that Sulaiman came with, that Dawud came with, that Isa Alaihissalam came with, and that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam came with, and all of the prophets, however many thousands, and all the messengers, however many hundreds, in some of the narrations, one twenty-four thousand, three hundred and thirteen, uh, three hundred and ten messengers.

Allahu ta'ala a'lam, the number and the quantity, all of them came to preach these three fundamental truths of the existence of this world, of your purpose in this world.

And so as I said in the beginning, Eid al-Adha is a return to the origin, the or- the first house.
