A- and I think, I think the nominal intellectual argument or policy argument that is made, which I don't buy, uh, because again, some of us actually have worked with China for decades and decades, and we understand the issues better than the, these, the legislators that voted in favor of this legislation.

But the nominal intellectual argument is, well, via these, uh, sister city engagements and so on, and having, uh, food, uh, exchanges and musical exchanges, really what the Chinese are doing is trying to brainwash the American people.

They're using these soft tactics as a way of, um, exercising a nefarious or sinister or malign influence and so on.

All of this is a Trojan horse and so on.

And that's the nominal or intellectual argument that is made to the degree that any intellectual argument is made in support of these bizarre, uh, policies.
