A
0:33Adam WheelerHOST
How have you been? How's the day been? Have you kept dry?
6 MINS LATER
N
6:46Neil MorrisonHOST
And he was diving into the final chicane at Bruneau on slick tires as if it was completely dry.
N
6:53Neil MorrisonHOST
And he was like two, two and a half seconds faster than anyone that day.
N
6:57Neil MorrisonHOST
It was just one of those kind of situations where you just have to sit back and marvel at the guy's ability in If he conditions his bravery, willingness to put it all on the line, and he joked afterwards by saying it was his way of ensuring Davide Tardozzi didn't give him a bit of a bollocking because of the crash at the start of the session.
N
7:14Neil MorrisonHOST
So, yeah, it was astonishing, really.

T
3:04Troy SiahaanHOST
So for this episode, episode 36 of The Boar and Stoke Podcast, I am happy to welcome David Emmett to the podcast.

A
0:21Adam WheelerHOST
You can probably tell by our haggard expressions that we've been working since an early hour.
A
0:25Adam WheelerHOST
The most important thing is that thanks to world super bike legend, Chas Davis, we now have full clarification on the Manda Liga street circuit pronunciation and another fantastic example of David Emmett being in the wrong.
A
0:44Adam WheelerHOST
So Dave, would you like to explain a little bit more before we get to the really important
D
0:47David EmmettHOST
material? It's international street circuit.
D
2:05David EmmettHOST
So that's all I have to say on the matter.

when only two of them and potentially in a couple of races time only one of them can win it but yeah I think Mark is just being philosophical about this he knows so well that he's going to have weekends very stronger than others and I think we've seen in recent rounds that if Aprilia and Ducati are in any way equally matched Marquez is able to make the difference and carry Ducati to victory I'm not so sure he's going to have the ability to do that this weekend given that we're going to have four Aprilias plus Pedro Acosta who is very very good here in Manda Liga, second in each of the last two years, which will potentially put another bike between Martins and Marquez.
L
28:57Louis SuddabyGUEST
So I think he's looking top five.
A
29:00Adam WheelerHOST
David Emmett, I would like your prediction, please.
D
29:04David EmmettHOST
Well, it is.

A
0:34Adam WheelerHOST
Yeah, we've got some pretty extreme, well, an extreme climate in Catalonia at the moment.
A
0:39Adam WheelerHOST
And for once, David Emmett up there in the Netherlands is looking quite bright and sunny.
D
0:45David EmmettHOST
Yeah, it's going to be 26, 27 degrees and sort of like quite bright.
D
0:49David EmmettHOST
So I think I've got the better end of it.
25 MINS LATER
D
25:37David EmmettHOST
I did actually try and ride some local sand tracks and absolutely terrified myself and realized I'm absolutely awful riding a really big, fat, waddly, heavy bike through soft, soft sand.
D
25:52David EmmettHOST
Well, we have to
A
25:52Adam WheelerHOST
be sympathetic to anything that's connected to the David Emmett brain.
A
25:56Adam WheelerHOST
So there we go.
