We sometimes call Lilly.

Their CEO, Dave Ricks, just joined X slash Twitter, as I will always know it.

And he has been posting, retweeting, but there's a few suspicious things.

So it's a notable milestone, I guess, when you get the CEO of the world's largest healthcare company joining Elon Musk's favorite social platform.

Although maybe more tailwinds for Google Cloud.

Maybe, maybe, but I've been leaning heavily on Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks last year, who wasn't dismissive of AI but was definitely trying to hit the brakes on the hype.

The body's complicated.

It's great to map and understand the genome, but there are very few diseases caused by a single gene.

Big business leaders.

You had Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan Chase and David Solomon from Goldman Sachs and Bill Brown from 3M and David Ricks from Eli Lilly, John May from Deere, so on and so forth.

And, you know, I was asked the question, well, it's great.

You know, all these executives are going to be there at the G20 with all of these, you know, finance ministers and treasury secretaries.

And they're also Howard Lutnick is holding some sort of AI informational ministerial fireside chat conference.

at UNC with Musk, Altman, Wong, Zuckerberg, Brown from Anthropic, and I think another gentleman from Google that are there.

So the real question isn't what did they pay? The real question, will it help patients sooner? And that's ultimately how I judge every transaction.

It seems like Dave Ricks and Lily have this formula down, you know, they're buying something, what, every few quarters or they have some plan, right, to buy something in frequency.

What are they getting that others aren't? Or do they just have all the cash and they can spend it? No,

Dave Ricks is looking into the future.

They are looking at their incredible patent cliff.

It won't just be a patent cliff of the kind that we see today.

It is a patent cliff of such consequence that never before in the pharmaceutical industry Will anybody have experienced anything like this? So wisely, what they're doing is saying, we need to start now and build for 10 years and ahead.

And I have to take my hat off to those guys because most people, when that change comes, Dave Ricks won't be in the seat.

Market cap is north of a trillion.

So you could see Dave Ricks do another couple of these before the year is out.

They haven't done anything that I think the street is like super excited about, but they're on the offensive.

They could do a deal of these a week.
