Dave Trott

Well, not my first job, but my first professional job after school was working at a gigantic law firm, and that had its ups and downs, but it wasn't the lifestyle that I wanted for my wife and, and hopefully a family someday at that time.

And it was actually my wife's idea to start a title insurance agency because she did that for David Trott, uh, who some people listening to this podcast might remember, of Trott and Trott and mortgage foreclosure and later congressional fame.

And then the title insurance agency that we started, that we still have, taught me about the mortgage industry.

And so I've been able to be fairly successful in this industry thanks to a lot of great, great people that I get to work with every day, and I think we get to do something that's really cool.

Anything you can think of, someone did what you did.

It's interesting that you say that because how ATA came to be my former employer was that Dave Trott, he was an attorney.

He started Trott & Trott Law, which is basically a company that handled foreclosures and short sales during the 2008 crisis.

Then born after that comes ATA, which is specializing in REO properties, real estate owned properties.
