Well, first thing I want to mention is I learned Rails from that book.

Dave Thomas wrote the first edition when Rails 1 came out.

He wrote the second edition still while Rails 1 came out because Rails was making so many changes the book was no longer relevant.

By the time Rails 2 came out and he looked like he had to do a complete rewrite.

But yeah, it's funny because I bought a Ruby book way back in the day.

I think it was the Dave Thomas one, Programming in Ruby.

Probably have it somewhere.
