well i'll get to the history and we'll introduce some of these characters right so the hyena basically uh dave johns comedian yes uh actor playwright yes um about 35 years ago him i'm not sure if it was dave on his own or a few others set up a comedy club in the bar of the town theater in the little tiny bar

okay a bar held like about 100 people and wow i never knew that yeah and he started that up and uh they used to get amazing like bill bailey you know it's like why everyone listening you should always go to your local comedy clubs because you'll see people like we just talked about kevin bridges

it was savage what a savage place it was I was there once and two blokes come in this was so random these two blokes come in who had jet skied up the Tyne from like the North Shields a Tyne mouth or somewhere just up the river a

couple of tossers

oh absolutely a couple of tossers and they came in with their jets their wetsuits on with their sleeves like tied around their waist in order to bottle the champagne and they're just sitting there and I think it was Dave Johns was on
