Dave Franklin

We remain hopeful in anticipation of the next song around the next corner.

And that song, written in 1938 by Cliff and Dave Franklin, has been the most difficult to learn of the entire episode.

And perhaps ironically, it was the one I started with.

The chord progression is certainly novel, and the lyric is endlessly changing.

Well, I hope you liked I Must See Annie Tonight.

It was our last song of the show.

Dave Franklin, 1895-1970, was a pianist and a composer, not apparently a lyricist.

And Cliff was his main songwriting partner in the last phase of Cliff's career, which was more than three decades going into the early 1950s.
