Jake RiepmaHOST
But the Lions are off this weekend, and that means you get, just get to kick your feet up and watch with, uh, with no stress, right? So here, here's a couple of games I've got, uh, highlighted, and I thought Dave Birkett on the Locked On Lions Squad show made a really interesting point that we already feel like you can see the NFC playoff picture coming into form because the South and the East are so bad.
Jake RiepmaHOST
So just eliminate those divisions, other than their division winner obviously, and the wildcard really, the wildcard spots really boil down to who's gonna outlast from the NFC North and the NFC West.
Jake RiepmaHOST
Because the West is really good.
Mike ValentiHOST
We, we definitely, uh, Paul, Paul got a little baptism by fire there with some of the drops.
Mike ValentiHOST
Uh, but some texts coming in and then interesting little update in Otto's update regarding what Dave Birkett said, and trades.
Mike ValentiHOST
We'll talk about it.
Mike ValentiHOST
Just David first.

November 10th is a Tuesday, it is the NFL trade deadline.
Rico BeardHOST
Dave Birkett was asked the following in a Q&A: "Do you believe the Lions will make a trade before the deadline, and if so, who do you believe they'll target?" Here is his answer: "I do believe Lions General Manager Brad Holmes will make a move before the deadline.
Rico BeardHOST
Clearly, they still need help in the secondary.
Rico BeardHOST
They're last in the league in pass defense by a wide margin, and with Brian Branch due back next week, their biggest need is corner.
Spencer RaxterHOST
Yeah.
EazyHOST
Fortunately, though, Dave Birkett, friend of the show, reports that some expect Kirby Joseph to play this season.
Spencer RaxterHOST
Yeah.
EazyHOST
Kirby Joseph expects to play this season.
6 MINS LATER

Jake RiepmaHOST
If you don't know me, I'm with the Locked On Lions squad show twice a week, as well as a live post-game reaction show.
Jake RiepmaHOST
It's me, Natalie Kerwin, and Bradford Banta, and Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press joins us on Thursdays.
Jake RiepmaHOST
And also, the host of Locked On Lions Hits, which is my friendly reminder if you haven't yet, would appreciate you checking that out.
Jake RiepmaHOST
Locked On Lions Hits is just daily short form content, social media, and five-minute mini pods.
Jake RiepmaHOST
Looking ahead to the Detroit Lions' weekend off, right? More time for Brad Holmes to pick up the phone and start dialing and inquire about who's available.
Jake RiepmaHOST
Maybe some, uh, some additions to this defense, right? We'll talk about that, as well as the return of Brian Branch.
Jake RiepmaHOST
Had Dave Birkett on the show, on the Locked On Lions squad show today, and he's pretty much convinced that Brian Branch will be ready to go in the next game for the Detroit Lions against the Green Bay Packers, of course, after the bye.
Jake RiepmaHOST
And then what this secondary personnel might look like.
