Dave Babcock

I'm very grateful for it.

Dave Babcock, saxophone, which I just cannot say enough about Dave's playing.

This band is greater than the sum of its parts.

It's a big band, big sound, which is very rare.

And so there was a sense that once we decided, OK, we're actually going to make a band, it was sort of unequivocal that we were going to have that core group of people at the very least.

And then the horns kind of came into it from there.

And I mean, if you decide that you're going to have horns on anything in Edmonton, the first people you're going to think about are Bob Tilsley on trumpet and Dave Babcock on saxophone because they're the A guys.

They've been some of the top players in various scenes in Edmonton since the 1980s.
