Yep.

Even before streaming was cool.

Like, we was on Dat Piff and all that.

We were streaming it.

But it was just something about, you know, do it all.

So now we're looking somewhat antiquated because now the hot new thing ain't on a major label.

It's from some dude that made a record in his basement or in his bathroom and streamed it through Livewire or Napster or Dat Piff or whatever.

They're not doing that no more.

DatPiff and everything like that, that used to be the site where I used to go for mixtapes and all that stuff.

They're just not doing it no more, which I get it.

I guess the new days of mixtapes is EPs and everything like that, so...

And I'm dating myself because back in 2009, There wasn't streaming platforms, but there was legally free music.

So it was either you bought it on iTunes, you ripped it illegally from like LimeWire, or you got it legally for free from like DatPiff or like mixtape websites or DJ websites.

And I knew I couldn't be the only 19-year-old that liked electronic music and hip-hop music and pop music.

But all of the different blogs and websites that existed at that time were genre specific.

So I used to like go on, uh, real briefly, I used to go on mix tapes site like DatPiff back in the day, and I would just download instrumental tapes from independent people that just put out stuff.

And that was, that's an instrumental that I found and then I looped it, uh, to make it, like, obviously fit the show.

And it just ha- for some reason has kind of that heartfelt moment similar to, like, '90s shows when they, they're trying to give you a message.

Like, if you would go on 2DopeBoys back then and your project was on there, you would download it.

And, like, DatPiff was the shit back then.

You know what I mean? So, now, you could stream on DatPiff, but, yeah, like, we were just trying to get people to download it.
