Datafication

Most likely, it's an AI that's looking at and using your data in some way.

The vocabulary that we might use to talk about this, new words and phrases for everyone perhaps, datafication.

That's D-A-T-A, data, and fication, F-I-C-A-T-I-O-N. Datafication is the process of lots of information about us being recorded as data.

And another term that is useful here, something called surveillance capitalism.

You may know the word capitalism, but we came across the word surveillance in the last podcast, number 882, when I was talking about the number of cameras that people in the UK put up to protect their homes.
