Data ecosystem

So really good topic and good segue from what we were just talking about.

So there's a move in the way that we handle data, and that's going from like a database to a data warehouse to a data lake to now a data ecosystem.

And so what we're looking at, again, to go back to my ahead of the skis things, we've got to step back and we're looking at collaborating with multiple other NSE sites looking at what a data ecosystem, what a DOE data ecosystem needs to have and have all of those pieces in it.

So we were just talking with the previous question about tech debt.

And part of the challenge on our side is that every time we have a new tool, a new thing, we've got to go and update the software and the pieces that are going to those platforms.

The solution said if we're refactoring all of those production systems every time we want to make a data analytics change, we're just not going to get there.

We'll be so slow crawling.

So what we're looking at here at Y12, and we're using other sites as an example, This data ecosystem is going to channel all of the data that's in the production systems to a central data repository.
