Darryl Phinnessee

I was finally getting some work as a session singer.

Um, I was on a session with Darryl Phinnessee, who a- actually ultimately wound up being one of the backup singers, and he was the one that told me about it, and I crashed the audition.

I said, "Hi, Michael," into a video.

I said, "I just moved here like six months ago as a school teacher," and then I sang a song by Deniece Williams called, uh, Free.
