Darren Turner

Uh, we start on a sad note, unfortunately, which is, um, the British Touring Car Championship, uh, confirmed the sad passing of Scott Dennis, uh, this week, the former motorsport manager of Seat UK.

He played a pivotal role in bringing Seat's, uh, early success in the early 2000s, uh, very much with Jason Plato, Rob Huff, James Thompson, and Darren Turner-

Yep

... four huge names in motorsport, let alone British Touring Car.

So yeah, a really, really, really mega job from them.

And perhaps more impressively for me, and we can dive more into it later, is the fact that car 27 of Turner and Lavery, the FSR by Grange, they ended up taking a GT4 overall title as well as that GT4 Pro-Am title that they wrapped up earlier on in the season at Donington.

And again, this is one that went under the radar.

You know, it's from speaking to to other drivers, to speaking to fans.

Chances are, though, you know, he's a smart driver, Will, and he knows if he does stick that nose in and, you know, he's not seen, he's in a bit of a blind spot, it can end up taking him out.

And not only is there the cost associated with the repair bills and everything like that, which is no driver ever wants, but also it takes him out of that championship fight.

You know, whilst he's actually fighting, it's so tough to know whether it's worth it or not because he probably doesn't know the exact standings at the time and I know Jess didn't when she got out the car so it's really tough but I think he kind of did drive a perfect stint and just what defense from Turner just to really hold off a very aggressive Will Orton and Yeah, a really good showing of offense, defense there.

It was a really, really exciting battle to watch.
