You talk to, like, you know, we had Wally Masur on early in the week and Darren Cahill, the guys that played against him, that always, it was one of those that you didn't want to get dragged into how he wanted to play the game, but he found a way to be able to drag you into how he wanted a match played.

And sometimes he was just blown off the court or not good enough on his day or whatever, but he was always willing to try something or do something somehow to

put the opponent off.

that entire time and manages to get sort of a crowning glory at the 99 Roland Garros to complete Andre's

career slant.

Yeah, we're talking random Thursday greatness with Brad Gilbert and obviously Darren Cahill took over the coaching of Andre Agassi after that and took him to another high level.

But he wasn't done there.

Like, if you look at Sinner's team setup, it's quite incredible what he has.

Darren Cahill, Fagnoni's the technical coach, the physical trainers.

He reigns and controls his teams exceptionally well.

If anybody talks about what he's doing, they're out.

It's a training system co-founded by Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.

Top advisor is Darren Cahill.

It's gonna be launched at the Coaches Open, which is gonna be in New York City in August, right before the US Open starts.

I know they used to have the Tennis Teachers Conference.

But when you think of Agassi's background compared to his wife, it's just not comparable.

I mean, I mean, Steffi Graf, wow.

But then Darren Cahill, I mean, he was a world-class tennis player, and I think certainly his father comes from Australian football, where his father is highly regarded football coach.

But then, you know, Cahill's background, even though, again, he was what I would say a world-class player.

Um, so that's the really hard part about tennis is that, you know, it's easy to not soak up the moments.

And, and I actually heard on your podcast with Darren Cahill, which I thought was a really valid point, is like you miss it.

Like I, I heard him say like when he goes on the court still-

Like over, like if you look back, like if I look back like five, six years ago, Novak coming into volley was not a great volleyer.

Yeah.

And then he became a really good volleyer, right? Like y- obviously we all talked about Rogers' one-handed backhand up the line, how he changed that, and you look now at Sinner, and, and I remember a couple years ago, I was actually sitting with Darren Cahill, and he said like, "We're actually really watching Carlos closely because we know we have to develop our game 'cause he's probably gonna be the biggest rival." Right? So like, and you look at Sinner, how many things has he added?

Yeah.

They're not responsive like they...

I mean, like Darren Cahill doesn't respond to things as much as he once did, you know, when he was coaching Halep.

Uh, the Sinner team is much more locked down.

And so I, I don't know what to make of these reports.

People have short memories in tennis, and, and again, we-- If-- Einstein, "If you don't understand the history of your subject, you don't understand your subject." With, you know, people I know, Darren Cahill, said, you know, "You'd be crazy to play a one-handed backhand now." But if you wanna be, uh, if you wanna play one-handed, like Justine Henin would say, "You can play one-handed, but you can lose a lot." I know my son Connor benefited from being at your place and, you know, he ended up being the n- number two junior in the US, you know, even though that's not totally accurate because some kids would be not playing juniors.

But he was a pretty good junior player.

Won a lotta matches, and he, he changed to a two-hander.
