He isn't some regal hulking horn figure like the inimitable mold of Tim Curry's Lord of Darkness and Ridley Scott's clunky but still wonderful 1986 opus legend.

And that's still the best depiction of Satan ever.

Period.

Much better in Europe.

But Tim Curry played the Lord of Darkness.

Yes.

And again, no mistaking that voice.

Highly recommend it.

I first came to know Tim Curry because of my age and where I was at as Darkness in the Tom Cruise film Legend.

And under all that makeup, under...

The pounds of makeup that took hours and hours to apply to him, he was still such a captivating, impressive figure.

But I just remember the devil not devil in it, and Tim Curry is in this behorned, red, monstrous, devil-like figure in it.

I think he's called Darkness in it.

And he's sexy, and he's frightening, and he's weird.

And I remember watching this as a kid and going, "What is this film?" And I watched it several times and go, "What is this film? Who is that guy?" And I didn't learn for years it was Tim Curry.

Also, just the other day, I re-watched Legend, um, which maybe I...

It's possible I saw that before It.

Um, but you know, Tim Curry in that is unrecognizable, and that was what I was referencing at the start of the episode, um, as the Lord of Darkness.

It's like, what, what is this? The film is tonally bizarre.

And he basically prepares to kill...

I guess Gump's probably going to aim for Darkness and he's aiming for Lily.

He's aiming

for Lily,

yeah.

And Darkness calls Lily and says, come lady, the birth of a new world awaits your stroke.

She says, you know, let my offering of flesh be made.

I can't remember what she says, but something like that.

And so like, I was so adamant about like getting all the, crew and then all of their associated factions i was like do whatever i can to get those things up to as like as peak as you can it was like amazing i don't know i loved this experience more than i was ever expecting and uh if you're like a fan of narrative games decision making um i i think this would be a fun game for most people to try out it's a such a blast cool yeah um but since we let's continue this fantasy train um yeah let's talk our the the main review of today ridley scott's film legend uh quits quick synopsis set in a timeless mythical forest inhabited by fairies goblins unicorns and mortals This fantastic story follows a mystical forest dweller chosen by fate to undertake a heroic quest.

He must save the beautiful Princess Lily and defeat the demonic Lord of Darkness, or the world will be plunged in never-ending Ice Age.

The film, again, like I said, directed by Ridley Scott.

It's written by William Hjottsberg.

And then you're like, okay, like this is nuts.

Uh, this is going to be like such a weird movie.

And then it opens up in the Lord of Dark, or I guess they just call him Darkness.

They refer to him in the synopsis as Lord of Darkness, but then his character is just called Darkness.

Look, I'm not a huge Tim Curry fan, although, however, no one makes a mention of the Ridley Scott flick Legend.

He plays Darkness, or Lord of Darkness.

Totally off script for pretty much everything that I've seen him act in, at least in my lifetime of watching flicks.

And oh yeah, the fireplace in Lord Darkness' lair has those fire dogs on that metal rack that holds the logs.

And those little skeleton guys with their arms crossed...
