Dark Dimension

They were trying to.

Because that was their whole intention from the get-go, was that when they were doing The Dark Dimension, was that it was going to be a straight-to-video Doctor Who release.

They weren't looking really at that time to build a TV show.

They were looking just to keep the brand going because the merchandising was good, give the kids something, and we move on.

Yeah.

All right, so let's get into this.

What led up to the movie finally happening? Because we talked about dimensions in time, the dark dimension and all.

So Philip Siegel, an American producer, well, British American producer, you know, is over there working for Amblin Entertainment.

It's a place of blackness and... with land underfoot and creatures that wander there and survive.

It is separate and distinct from the Dark Dimension, which is the home dimension of characters like Dormammu, Umar, Clea, and the Mindless Ones.

It's also distinct from all Hell realms that Marvel has, and even distinct from the various Shadow realms, like that of the Moomadry, a world where dark versions of our heroes exist, almost more astrally.

But then we have characters like Gnall the Living Darkness, Chernabog, the God of Darkness, and the Shadow King, who is a literal dark predator from some sort of astral plane.

So we get Kevin Davis show up, who talks a little bit about the dark dimension.

And

now they live in the Dark Dimension, a pocket world of wild magic.

Dormammu merged with the Dimension and reigned supreme.

She resented being second place and schemed to steal his power, which she eventually did.

You'll see that many of the accompanying panels show her with a crown of fire.

That's the flame of regency that appears on whoever rules the Dark Dimension.

Cool.

Dormammu had a fiery head as well.
