Dario Resta

Ain't too bad for a couple of grease monkeys that all the engineers hated.

Dario Resta, one of the drivers of these cars and a winner in them all over Europe, and eventually the 1916 Indianapolis 500, made an interesting decision in the latter part of 1913.

He headed off to a trip, and he left his car, on purpose, with a friend named Louis Kotelin.

Lewis just so happened to be one of the lead engineers and an engine development guy at a company called Sunbeam, which was an English manufacturer of cars and one that was trying to race cars and was receiving repeated drubbings like everybody else from Peugeot, and they wanted answers.
