So the late mid-80s when the Argento and the Fulci things was permeating through the scene and being in Fangoria and Horror Hound and all these magazines, I was sucking up like a biscuit.

and it just didn't resonate with me the way it should have and i watched more and it didn't resonate with me the way it should have and i don't know i just don't i i just don't like it i i feel like like and i've seen opera i've seen suspiria i've seen the bird with the crystal plumage i've seen i mean i could go on i've seen them i have not not seen these films and i'm italian So like there's even that speaks to me like, oh, it's Italian.

Like, I love Giallo's, like, the Italian horrors.

Like, my Valentine's Day car film, which is titled Cupid, that was heavily inspired by, like, Dario Argento, Mario Bava, with that, like, neon lighting and stuff like that.

But I just, I would say, really, Alfred Hitchcock, because with this one, I really wanted to dive on the suspense, because even though this one's a slasher, there's only three deaths.

italian names i'm sorry if i'm mispronouncing those and i probably am um the cast is largely unknown mostly a lot of italian actors um but we have jessica harper as susie banion and that is our um lead character she is um our lead ballerina And every time she would say her name, I thought of Bunions.
