He's constantly doing his costume changes.

So he d- he's like, he has his Devo-like getup for Dare to Be Stupid, he's got his surgeon outfit for Like a Surgeon.

And then some of them are like sound-alikes, like not a parody of a specific song.

But Dare to Be Stupid is.

He's got a song that, like, sounds like The Police.

But like, he just, as the show went on, he just got better and better.

I, I first met him via dare to be stupid.

A friend of mine had, had the album on cassette and it was so noteworthy that like his mom was telling my mom about it.

And for years, even after we weren't that close anymore, uh, like we were on a church youth group trip and I was like, Hey, can I see what tapes you have? And he's like, I didn't bring dare to be stupid.

And I'm like, that's okay.

I wanted to listen to Rod Stewart anyway, but, um, that, that wasn't true.

I love Rod Stewart.

Don't get me wrong, but it, but he was right.

Then they played the Polka Party Polka from the newest album.

Dare to be Stupid.

That's weird.

Exactly.

If I may, I wanted to just share a little bit because it's going to be a shout out to this show for people who maybe are tuning in later in the run to go back to the beginning, because what I did was after Matthew and I chatted and you know, talked about coming on and doing this.

I was like, well, let me go back because I was very squarely like introduced to him within 3D, went backwards to, you know, the first album, went forwards to Dare to be Stupid and so on.

And again, that was like kind of formative for me.

dare to be stupid and it's actually it's my perhaps my favorite song because he's basically doing devo But there, there's a whole backstory to this where, you know, when Devo finally heard that song, they were like, holy shit, he wrote a Devo song better than we could.

And i i really like the intelligence that goes into his um i i guess they're they're not covers they're in the style of songs and um it just really shows off his musicality and the bands for that matter i mean they are all excellent musicians

And speaking of i- i- i- things getting strange, uh, it was announced in May of this year, there is a Weird Al Yankovic musical in development for Broadway right now called Dare to be Stupid.

And again, this is why Weird Al, uh, Weird Al Yankovic is the patron saint of this podcast.
