J

and there was a WBO convention out in Las Vegas, and he brought his Lonsdale belt out with him, and it was me, him, and Ricky, Ricky Hatton, and we got in the lift, and Ricky said to him, look, have it with you, they're going to want to see this belt, so Danny was walking him out with his Lonsdale belt in a carrier bag, a little co-op carrier bag, And Ricky kept laughing.

T
52:20Tom IversGUEST

And I also know that money is exceptionally important to him, but he's got shitloads of it.
M

Whereas Danny Williams didn't.

And that appeared to be what kept Danny Williams fighting on and off and living off that reputation as the man who once beat Mike Tyson.

short sharp fast combination i remember his eyes shaking and as they sort of shook he took a step back across the ring and i went to walk in i moved my head and i went to walk in again this is the god's honest truth i literally thought i'm like the british belt around my waist i'm gonna hold the commonwealth belt above my head and that was my thought as i walked in if you watch me uh get caught my head's up in the air and i don't find punches i'm just specifically would get a bit more time and then as he comes in i then forward and he pushed me down the back i thought i can get another blow here as he pushed me down the referee carried that's another knockdown and that was the end of that so yeah how did you react to losing to that fight oh i i literally spiraled into it's the only time my life i mean i missed the project i think that i i like i like my and then they threw me in at Wembley against a Russian guy called Vasiliev for a 12 round in the continental belt and I watched him fight before and I just thought I'm going to knock this guy out in the first round and I can move on but then I'm going to sort my head out.
