Danny Tartabull

24-year-old Jim Lombard, 29-year-old Dick Hughes.

Here's Jose Tartabull.

Fly to out to right, his first time up.

Good speed.

Here it is.

Fastball outside.

Hughes has been moving the ball around on Tartabull.

Jose Tartabull.

[laughs] So s- I love that show

Remember that episode, it was the, um, when, uh, Danny Tartabull, uh-

Oh, that was a good one

...

when, um, J- when, um, when George thinks everyone's giving him the finger, and he thinks that guy's giving him the finger, and Danny Tartabull's like, "What are you doing?" "I'm following him."

him."Then he's...

[laughs] That's right.

How do you eat it? With your hands?

And George carting around Danny Tartabull, who also eats a donut with a knife and a fork.

[laughs]

[laughs]

Melido Perez is about to begin his warmups, and I'll give you the Yankees defensively.

Luis Polonia's in left, Bernie Williams in center, and Danny Tartabull...

Check that, Paul O'Neill, not Danny Tartabull, is over in right.

In the infield, Wade Boggs at third, Mike Gallego at shortstop, Patrick Kelly's at second, and Donald Arthur Mattingly, the Yankee captain, is at first.

And as we broke here on the pregame yesterday, this could be, I'll tell you it will be, could be the last game he plays, especially if it's a long strike.

That ball- Mm-hmm ... was hit to dead center, just to the right field side of the 408-foot sign and hit the very top of the wall.

That didn't miss by an inch or so of being a three-run home run, so Yankees should be thankful for that.

Danny Tartabull is in the lineup after missing a game or two, hitting at three, uh, 257, 18 homers, 64 RBIs.

Bo, need we say any more, in the cleanup spot in center.

Danny Tartabull was gonna start in the outfield.

They've changed him to a DH role tonight.

Jim Eisenreich was going to start in left field.

Brett crosses the plate, and this game is tied at 2-2.

Brett, a run scored, picked up his 30th RBI, driving in the first one.

one.And now the second run crosses the plate, and credit Danny Tartabull with his 28th.

Eisenreich.

Oh, my God.

Like I said, the, the Danny Tartabull.

Well- Yeah ...

James, you know what I thought about? The other James.
