Wes Welker kind of paved the way for us guys at Texas Tech.

You know, Danny Amendola and I were the next guys that were in that lineage.

But, yeah.

yeah it was just uh such an incredible experience for me um lubbock's right down the street from from my hometown so for my family to be able to watch that and to experience it and then um just the coaches i was able to play under i mean my position coaches when i was a player were dana horse and sonny dykes and lincoln riley right so i had those three men pouring into me is one of the big reasons i wanted to become a coach right i was just around them and i was a gym rat and i wanted to to have all this knowledge that they were able to give me and so uh just super thankful for that situation and then mike gives me my first full-time job at washington state um and so really you know i owe him every opportunity i've been blessed with in in this great sport of college football how'd you feel about the nickname the elf Didn't love it at first.

People think that He was slow just because he's a slot receiver.

He had more straight line speed than Wes Welker, Danny Amendola, Efton Chisholm, all the white people that you don't like grouping together.

Some people might say sneaky fast.

No, I think I'm just sensitive to it because the great Gil Santos, who's the greatest play-by-play guy of our lifetime, when Edelman had that punt return against Philadelphia in the preseason, the Wally Pipp moment, he said he looks like a mini Wes Welker out there.

I think Pop should play over Efton Chisholm.

The hard part about it is that I just – I don't believe that Efton Chisholm is the next Julian Edelman or Danny Amendola or, you know, whatever.

Name the white slot receiver, right? But, like, I want to see more from Pop, and I just, like, I've been waiting for years to see more from Pop.

Now, he led the league in receptions, I believe, a few years ago, like 60-something.

And then defensively, I'm going to let you go offensively and defensively, and then I'll tell you my defensive guy because – Yeah, I'll let you tell them.

And by the way, the Mac Holland stuff reminds me to a degree of like they did this with Danny Amendola years ago.

Different situation, different restructure, different timing, but similar role player receiver, a little bit overpaid.
