Then came the marriage that sent headlines into overdrive, when at 26, she wed 89-year-old oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall, a 63-year age gap that fueled endless speculation.

Her life was part Cinderella story, part Anna Nicole reality show, and all spectacle.

In 2006, she welcomed daughter Danny Lynn.

Just three days later, while Anna was still in the hospital, her 20-year-old son, Daniel, died while visiting her.

We know that Anna Nicole took her role as TrimSpa spokesperson really seriously because this was her primary source of revenue during the final years of her life.

And actually, jumping ahead a little bit, and don't mean to spoil the story, but Larry Birkhead, the father of her child, Dannielynn, later said that when she learned she was pregnant, one of her biggest fears was losing this job with TrimSpa.

Larry Birkhead very rarely sits down with the press.

In 2017, he did sit down with 20/20.

Like, they were still saying that she was born in Mexia, Texas.

I mentioned a different 20/20 episode during part one.

That episode that I mentioned was filmed in 2021, and it was Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn doing this, like, road trip, visiting places that were important to Anna Nicole.

And that episode was good because it had a lot of archival footage of this interview from 2017 and also different interviews that ABC News had with Anna Nicole when she was alive.

The 20/20 episode I think is fabulous, honestly.

Anna Nicole's life story is being woven into footage of a trip being taken by her daughter, Dannielynn, and Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn's father.

It's filmed the summer of 2020, and they are going to different locations that were important to Anna Nicole, like her hometown, Los Angeles, et cetera, and they're meeting with people that were close to her.

And actually, speaking of the 20/20 episode, 20/20 made references in this 2021 episode to previous interviews they had had with Anna Nicole while she was alive, so there's a lot of really good, like, archival footage baked in.

Her mother and her cousin in particular said in interviews, like that 20/20 episode or, like, The Final 24 Hours, that, like, yes, the age gap was jarring to them, but they really did take such good care of each other.

Howard's lawyer is also in that Netflix documentary, and he shares that at some point Howard tried to formally adopt Daniel so that Daniel would be one of his heirs.

And I think the biggest testimony about Anna Nicole's relationship with Howard comes from Larry Birkhead, the father of her daughter, Dannielynn.

Larry Birkhead has said in interviews that Anna Nicole was constantly comparing him to Howard, that she would say to him, "Oh, why can't you be more like my husband?" And that she referred to him as her husband her entire life.
