What do you see right now as the sort of the three biggest barriers surrounding infertility access and just paths to parenthood?

Well, thank you so much for having me on and for having this podcast.

You and I both have such a passion for education and information.

And I think to start even answering that first question, as I think of the biggest barriers to access to family building care, one of those things is information and education.

We are taught so little about parts of our reproductive health systems.

There's a study that came out through ASRM earlier this year that That was less than 60% of Gen Z women felt like they understood their basic reproductive health or the connection between age and fertility.

And I know I see that with my friends and my peers.

You know, what current legislation pieces are you working towards right now, and how can people get involved?

So how did you come across your egg freezing decision?

For me, I was 33 and single at the time and knew I wanted to build a biological family one day if I could.

And so started researching like, what are my options? What's available? I'd started hearing like a little bit about egg freezing and had no idea what it meant, how much it costs, how you go about doing it.

So I started reaching out to, I actually posted on Instagram and I was like, hey, I think I'm going to freeze my eggs.

Does anyone know anyone who has done this? Because I need help.

That's yeah, that's what you got to do.

That's what you got to do.

You know, like you said, you can find one person at work or one friend even and just tell them or even like, write it down, tell it to yourself in a journal if you don't feel comfortable, you know, not everybody has to be out public facing, you know, but why do you think so many people are still suffering in silence?

How would you describe what your organization does and why it matters so much right now?

Resolve is a nonprofit that's been around for 50 years and started as a support group.

So a table of women having a conversation about the challenges they were navigating on their fertility journey.

And over the past 50 years, Resolve's mission has expanded.

We still continue to provide support.

So we offer the largest network of free peer-led support groups across the country.

We also provide education, so evidence-based information, so people can digest at their own pace and figure out what their options are and what's out there for them.

So what about the emotional challenges people face? What can help them stay resilient as they're on this journey?
