Senator Sparks, you, you need to get your name out there 'cause you're not [laughs] gonna be the first one on the ballot [laughs].

... and Ole Miss grad, Mississippi Col- formerly Mississippi College, now Mississippi Christian School of Law graduate.

Yeah.

He's running against, uh, former state representative Nick Bain and, uh, current state senator Daniel Sparks.

Right now, no Democrats have entered the race, but that's an interesting race.

If elected, Buffington says he will use his experience to provide fiscal stewardship, corporate governance, and fraud prevention to the Magnolia State.

Buffington joins two other Republicans, former State Representative Nick Bain and State Senator Daniel Sparks, in the race for state auditor.

All three are looking to replace Shad White, whose team told Supertalk Mississippi News in May that he is not seeking another term as Mississippi State Auditor.

So far, no Democrats have entered the race, but the party plans to begin rolling out its preferred candidates after the November midterms.
