Galen ClavioHOST
22:53
Now, he might have gotten injured.
Galen ClavioHOST
22:54
There might be something we don't know about, but we just didn't see him very much in this game.
Galen ClavioHOST
22:59
Daniel Ndukweg, as I think I mentioned yesterday, was only on the field for two snaps yesterday, and that one is a question mark that might be answered by the fact that he was out with an injury that kept him out of the Rutgers game.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:13
He came back off of the injured list, and we thought that he was ready to go, but we just didn't see him very much in this Nebraska game.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:21
I will be interested to see if there's any commentary from that from Curt Signetti in his availabilities this week.
Galen ClavioHOST
59:34
But the pressure numbers for Indiana are lower right now than they were last year.
Galen ClavioHOST
59:39
And I think part of the issue is that even though Osinsomni has settled in, they still haven't really – taken full advantage of the depth of talent that they have on the defensive front we hardly saw Chidi Obiatzor at all in this game and again like eight snaps we only saw two snaps out of Daniel Ndukwe now he might still be injured he was on he obviously missed the Rutgers game um we we saw some Josh Burnham he had a sack in this game he deserves a lot of credit for that yeah Tucker and Landino played really well solo essentially against the run yesterday, but I wasn't terribly impressed with their pass rushing until the very end.
Galen ClavioHOST
60:20
And I think in the secondary, what we are seeing, this is where it gets challenging because that zone that Indiana likes to play requires more and more havoc being wreaked by the front six, more pressure being applied early, when they don't get there, it creates these holes in the zone that opposing quarterbacks are picking on, and yet they're not giving up This was not the game where they were giving up the huge chunk plays down the field, but they were giving up a ton underneath.
Galen ClavioHOST
60:54
Now, sometimes that is a schematic choice.
Jacob GoinsHOST
12:36
And again, I'm basing this off of Thursday night's report, which was not any different from the Wednesday night report, and I don't expect it to be any different than the Friday afternoon, Friday evening report as well.
Jacob GoinsHOST
12:50
And Indiana saw Daniel Ndukwe and AJ Harris both returning according to the avail- availability report.
Jacob GoinsHOST
12:59
And this is huge news for the defensive front, because Indiana's getting a depth piece back with Daniel Ndukwe.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:06
And in terms of your secondary, you're getting a starting cornerback with AJ Harris.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:12
Now, I think the big question is how much do these two guys play? With Daniel Ndukwe, I'm not as concerned because you've got enough pieces around him at the defensive end spot in the edge position.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:25
You don't necessarily need him.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:28
I hate to say that, and it comes off negatively, but you've been playing just fine without him.
Jacob GoinsHOST
14:26
And then Kellen Wyatt is right there as well alongside Josh Burnham.
Shannon GriffithHOST
5:21
Yeah, and good reports out of Indiana, too, this morning.
Shannon GriffithHOST
5:25
A.J. Harris is cleared, as is Ndukwe, for this weekend.
Jim CoyleHOST
5:31
Daniel Ndukwe
Jim CoyleHOST
5:33
adding more depth to that abominable front line of Indiana's.
Shannon GriffithHOST
5:40
Well, I'm interested to see.
Andrew GarrisonGUEST
10:34
And I know that there are some injuries still.
Andrew GarrisonGUEST
10:36
You obviously have Daniel Ndukwe out.
Andrew GarrisonGUEST
10:38
But I feel like, uh, we've been talking about the depth of the defensive front.
Andrew GarrisonGUEST
10:41
We've been talking about the strength of the defensive front across the board, and I feel like now we're actually s- not for the first time seeing it succeed, but seeing it i- succeed from different specific players.
Galen ClavioHOST
42:46
I felt that the improvement on the defensive front, they looked a lot more consistent and steady.
Galen ClavioHOST
42:52
I thought that the rotations were a little more dialed in, and I think that was partially because Daniel Ndukwe was out, but I also feel like Daly and Osinsomni being able to play as well as they did and be as disruptive as they were, that felt like a real step forward for the defense overall and a really workmanlike performance out of the linebackers in this game as well.
Galen ClavioHOST
43:13
So those were things that I all really liked out of Indiana in this contest.
Galen ClavioHOST
43:17
And I think the other thing that I'll just say, and it's almost something that we gloss over, unfairly with Indiana right now is how good these skill position players are like your top four skill position guys.
Jacob GoinsHOST
11:05
So those are the names that you need to be watching.
Jacob GoinsHOST
11:08
One thing about that availability report that we need to keep an eye on, or I guess keep in mind, Daniel Ndukwe is out for the Hoosiers on that defensive front end.
Jacob GoinsHOST
11:17
That's a big name, man.
Jacob GoinsHOST
11:18
That's a big name that Indiana is going to be missing.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:42
But Indiana's gotta go out and actually do it.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:44
And you are missing Daniel Ndukwe in this game.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:47
He popped up as out on the injury report.
Galen ClavioHOST
23:50
I don't have anything official about what his injuries are.
Galen ClavioHOST
24:16
You've got a ton of options that you can throw in there.
Galen ClavioHOST
24:19
So that's good.
Galen ClavioHOST
24:20
You don't wanna lose Daniel Ndukwe.
Galen ClavioHOST
24:22
He was a key figure in the game last week against Northwestern.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:26
And we talked about it.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:28
Guys like LeBron Bond, Daniel Ndukwe, Kobe Martin, Carson Williams, they're out for Indiana.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:33
That's not a huge surprise.
Jacob GoinsHOST
13:35
The Ndukwe-LeBron Bond injuries are a little questionable, but they're out and they will not be playing.
Jacob GoinsHOST
14:24
Then on Thursday night, on October 1st, the next availability report came out from the Big Ten, and it looked like this.
Jacob GoinsHOST
14:34
Nothing changed in the out.
Jacob GoinsHOST
14:36
Carson Williams, LeBron Bond, Daniel Ndukwe, Kobe Martin, all still out.
Jacob GoinsHOST
14:40
Okay, all four of those guys are still out.
Shannon GriffithHOST
8:16
This one surprised me as well.
Shannon GriffithHOST
8:18
Daniel Ndukwe is questionable tomorrow.
Shannon GriffithHOST
8:24
And, um, it's just crazy.
Jim CoyleHOST
8:26
A lot of questions.
