Daniel N. Paul

I had three main people that I dealt with.

One is Daniel Paul, who wrote We Were Not the Savages.

He was a great influence by me reading the book.

He had an influence on me on how I was going to approach it.

And it was just quickly, you know, a couple of emails here and there, and he helped me with a couple of things, but that was it.

I had no intention of writing anything until I retired, which was in 2018.

So I started the researching and contacting Daniel Paul in 2018, early 2019.

And so that's when it started, right from the beginning.
