Um, the guys on the front, they went off crazy, crazy fast.

So Daniel Mateiko and Isaya Lassoi, they straight away broke away from the field.

They split 3K in eight minutes, 5K in 13:38, and then they slowly started slowing down to 27:41 for 10K, but still genuinely, like, definitely world record pace at first, and then maybe they dialed it back, so it wasn't quite.

But, um, the commentators kept going on about how Mateiko was, like, the massive favorite 'cause I think he'd won it last year.

So there's a guy, Isaiah Lasoi, Kenyan, 50 at 10 PB.

Another guy I've heard of, Daniel Mateiko, 50 at 17.

He's a 2:03 marathon runner.
