I may not be pronouncing his last name correctly, but he's written a or worked on a lot of very low-level libraries like SIMD, JSON, and other things that are used in browsers and databases.

And he had posted recently about how in certain cases AI changes to these have sped up certain parts of these libraries like 6X or things like that.

But most folks don't think of Python as being fast at parsing JSON.

He benchmarks a new... wrapper around SIMD JSON, which is a C++ library I've never used, but he wrote a fast SIMD JSON wrapper around it and actually demonstrates parsing tens of gigabytes of JSON per second in Python.
