Daniel Hope

Obviously, with sung music like the opera about Dolores, I would imagine they should think about the labor rights movement of 1968, right? Otherwise, I'm not doing my job, right? But it's really a matter of finding ways to make me care so deeply that I feel like I have no choice but to explore it in the best way that I possibly could.

You know, like Doña Sebastiana, the piece about Santa Muerte for Daniel Hope and the New Century Chamber Orchestra.

I don't really care if they know the whole backstory and how I'm so interested in how this folk tale is about like the clash of like how the Christianity the time, rightfully, was really not serving poor people at all, right? The missionaries were ruthless and vicious.

And how do people cope? They probably told folk tales about how Jesus and Mary, that maybe they don't care about the poor, you know? And maybe the Spirit does, actually.
