Well, it's just as fictional like a

lemony snicket.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah.

And yeah, so it also has this

interesting kind of meta storyteller quality to it.

But I guess the closest thing is like a Lemony Snicket thing in that there's this fictional author that is – and William Goldman is maybe adapting this work that he's found

for a modern – I always think of the birdcage whenever I hear the last name Goldman.

And Lemony Snicket is written by Lemony Snicket.

Well, that's the pen name of the author, Daniel Handler.

And the audio books are mostly narrated by Tim Curry.

Daniel Handler stepped in to narrate books three, four and five, and then apparently decided that it was too difficult and gave the job back to Tim Curry.

And these books are so well done.

The music, the production, the voices, they're so funny.

It was written by Robert Gordon, and the books were from Daniel Handler.

Hmm.

Did we know the books were written from Daniel Handler? Did we not think it was Lemony Snicket?

now going back to your writing so you're writing the book okay and writing the book is the fun part we do the verbal diary to start with you write absolute rubbish I interviewed the fabulous Daniel Handler who is who wrote a series of unfortunate events he's a brilliant author love his books and he said you know that when he first reads back he goes it's terrible and it really is terrible you look at it and you go Really? And like for myself, when I got to the end of chapter 43, which is the last chapter for my book, and I went back to the beginning, I was like, what was I thinking? Yeah, yeah.

What was your experience of kind of getting to the end and then going back to the beginning?

I cringed.
