Monday night saw Leeds host Newcastle in a game that ended four-one to Daniel Farke's side, putting them up to third place in the table and delighting Leeds fans everywhere.

Manager Farke says the optimism is deserved.

Yes, and rightly so.

Leeds visited Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, and they were 2-0 up, uh, but eventually conceded six goals to lose the game 6-3.

James Trappert, who was courted by Newcastle for a couple of transfer windows, spent the night on the bench.
