Are there tho- those who are, even if they're just skeptical or unsure, can you help maybe answer some of the questions people might have from that camp?

Yeah, absolutely.

And Nick, you know, it's, it's so striking that, that survey data.

In a, in a pretty polarized country right now [laughs], uh, you know, there aren't a whole lot of issues where you're getting three-quarters of voters agreeing on a solution.

Uh, I hope the members of Congress are listening right now, uh, you know, a- as they do their work in Washington, that, that this is a popular issue.

By the way, you're all running for re-election, so it might be a good idea to, you know, grab on to, to, to issues that, that three-quarters of Americans, voters support.

Um, but a-a-and so, you know, the, the pockets of opposition are sort of interesting.

So that top-down leadership objective, that seems a really important part of it.

Given all that context, what specifically has happened in Louisiana recently that are advancing, kind of moving the ball down the field? What's the latest progress there in your state?

Yeah, and there's been a lot.

It's so exciting.

So in 2025, well, let me go back even just one year earlier.

In 2024, newly elected Governor Jeff Landry issued an executive order that put a task force of all of the agency heads that have some safety net or workforce program within their agency.

Of course, most of these in Louisiana over the years have lived in the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Health, the Workforce Commission.

But you'd be surprised, for most folks who don't interact with the system at all, don't really have a sense of how wide it is.
