you know gill and i had our choices for the three leads in that movie um we wanted danny baldwin for the the detective uh danny would have given i think a good gritty performance i don't you know i think he he could have just being who he is could have filled in some of the blanks in that character's story Um, but Joel Silver, our executive producer took over the casting of the three leads and he insisted on casting Dennis Miller.

I, to this day, I cannot tell you why.

I honestly don't know.
