And so do you find it challenging to get people there or that individuals are challenged by that? And how do you support them through that?
4:37
Well, Ross, I love that.
4:39
So I'm such a dream geek and I do dream analysis as one of the major ways that I work with clients and that synchronicity interpretation as well.
4:49
So the symbology and the metaphors that come with the medicine are are so insightful.
4:55
But you're right.
4:56
We're just connected from it collectively.
4:58
And most of us do not know how to interpret the symbols.

6 MINS LATER

11:22
So what would you want to say about those things like IFS and the hypnosis and how does that blend in for you?
9:07
Mm-hmm
9:07
... right? And who have tried all of the things, like talk therapy, and have been working at it and just not really seeing the results that they want, that's what psychedelic therapy is really, really, really good for.
9:19
You can make progress without it through hypnosis or therapy or somatic regression.
9:26
Um, but you're, you're right about the preparation, so I do focus on preparation because the thing that breaks my heart the most is hearing these stories of women who go into psychedelic-assisted therapy with their last hope, right? Like, it takes so much courage to say yes, and usually people are kind of at rock bottom by the time that they do say yes.
9:52
And when they go in and they come back out and nothing has changed or they feel fragmented or confused, that is absolutely heartbreaking, because now what do they do? Like, what, where do they go from there? So preparation for me means connecting with yourself first.
10:10
Just as you said, sitting in meditation, learning how to sit with your emotions, quiet your mind.
10:16
It's about accessing your true self energy and being able to access your true self energy prior to the medicine e- entering your system.
13:18
I also do this with clients as well, because I think it's a really big component of being able to know that f- trauma just creates fragmentation of the psyche, and so it's why sometimes we're like, "Well, why is this part of me just so angry and reacts this way, but yet I know a different part of me doesn't?" Right? So can you explain that a little bit of how, you know, you explain that to your clients, and how we even get to the accessing of that self?
