Liz's father, Douglas Miller, was a New York City firefighter.

Jess's father, Daniel Trant, worked at Cantor Fitzgerald on the 104th floor of the North Tower at the World Trade Center.

The documentary captures their close bond and the differences in opinion they have over what they want the outcome of this case to be.

We had the privilege of talking with Liz and Jess.

Like, there are some elements to it where it's like if you're not in it, you don't maybe truly understand every part of it and, and meeting her really kind of helped, helped heal some of that.

Do you feel like the country has adequately celebrated your, your fathers? Or celebrated their lives and the massive loss?

I think on major holi- uh, major milestones maybe.

Um, for me, living in Massachusetts, I was very surprised 'cause it's a newer thing, only one channel does the reading of the names.

I want people that are going for the jugular.

I mean, this isn't just a case that's gonna go down in history.

I want people defending our fathers.

I don't care if it ends up being life in prison or death.
