Audio, tell us what's new.

Yeah, so we've been working with AIIP for broadcasters within their facilities really since the inception of that, maybe 20 years ago.

But there's always been a problem.

Multicast doesn't traverse networks.

It's really inefficient when you put it into the cloud.

So with Fabric inside Virtual Rack here, you can see that we've got an application.

And that Fabric application is running here in Amsterdam.

Yeah, so we've been

doing visualisation initially for doing social media for radio and now longer format streaming for radio.

A lot of our customers were really focused on the record workflow from that and everything we had was a little bit compromised for that.

So we've built an entirely new engine and platform which will really sit at the heart of all of our future products.

But here it's a standalone offering which we call the multi-object recorder.

So what we're looking at here are four cameras doing classic ISO and you can set up within the recorder all of your audio sources.

So those audio sources can be the ISOs and in this case the program feed that runs across for the common feed.

This has been something that you've been working on for a while, isn't it, I believe? Yeah, so we first showed a concept of this

We don't often see this on your booth.

Yes, so we for a long time have been noticing that our broadcast friends who might have a number of large traditional broadcast facilities and major studios with large format consoles, these Rodecasters and other sort of affordable pieces of production hardware are turning up around the facility.

But for too long they've been kind of a poor relation when they're inside an AIP facility.

So what we've done is create a node, which is just a piece of software from us.

Here it's running literally on this very small form factor.

Here running in Linux, but you can run it on Mac or Windows as well.

And it's just connected USB into the RODECaster, but it unlocks and unleashes all of the audio from the RODECaster to the facility and all of the AIP from the facility into the RODECaster.

It opens up a whole new, and this just sits invisibly somewhere and they can just use this hardware.

I've been doing this for a very, very long time, all around the world, and I would say, of all the radio and TV studios I've walked into, I couldn't tell you who was most intelligent, but I could tell you who knew how to make the best content, who understood their audience, their mood, their mind, how to connect.

Because communication's about more than just being smart, it's more than sort of IQ, it's that EQ of saying, in this moment, when something has happened on a national or an international stage, what is the right thing to say? And the robot doesn't have that.

The example we give downstairs is we say, Mary had a little, and you know to say, lamb.

If I say, what's the best football team in the world? Then...

I'm not a sports person, so I come from a long-suffering line of Spurs supporters, particularly long-suffering at the moment.

But everybody would answer that differently, and the robot gives a terrible answer to that question.
