The air traffic control provider, NATS, has apologized.

The aviation minister, Kier Mather, said this kind of disruption was absolutely unacceptable.

May I begin again by apologizing to passengers across the United Kingdom who faced significant disruption as a result of the issues which impacted NATS's operation on the 8th of September, resulting in delays and cancellations for hundreds of thousands of passengers, as well as the disruption that it has caused for industry.
