Dan Helmer

Okay, so this whole conversation was like a perfect segue to this bad legal take, which I've been watching for weeks on end.

So in January or so, a Democrat delegate from Northern Virginia, by the name of Dan Helmer, introduced in the Virginia General Assembly a bill regarding January 6th, 2021.

And this bill basically says that public schools in Virginia, K through 12, if they're going to have any instruction with respect to January 6th, there's certain terminology that can be used, must be used, and that shall not be used.

Literally, the bill said shall and shall not.
